Write For Us!

We want to showcase creative talent. If you’re an aspiring writer or illustrator wanting to get your foot in the door or share your work with the world, you’ve come to the right place.

If you want to write for us, check out what type of content we are currently looking for here:

  • Flash fiction, short stories, poetry, or scripts on the theme of SOMETHING SPOOKY aimed at middle grade, teen and/or young adult readers.

This could be a piece of writing set in a spooky setting like a pumpkin patch, or set during a spooky occasion such as Halloween. It could be an alien invasion, a haunted house, feature werewolves, vampires, magic or something completely different. All we ask is that something about it is a little bit spooky. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.

  • Feature articles on the writing process aimed towards 11-18 year olds
  • Feature interviews with professional, contemporary Children’s/Young Adult authors/illustrators

Please send submissions, and any further questions, to: paperboundmagazine@outlook.com

DEADLINE FOR SPOOKY AUTUMN CONTENT IS 2nd JULY

Note: please read our detailed submission guidelines and FAQs below before submitting. Entrants must be 18 or over.

We Want Illustrators Too!

For every story we publish from new writers, we are looking for up and coming illustrators to feature alongside our pages too.

Please submit pieces inspired by SOMETHING SPOOKY (for a middle grade, teen or YA audience). This could be an illustration set in a spooky setting like a pumpkin patch, or set during a spooky occasion such as Halloween. It could be an alien invasion, a haunted house, feature werewolves, vampires, magic or something completely different. All we ask is that something about it is a little bit spooky. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
